Offline ist eine soziale App für gemeinsame Aktivitäten und ausschließlich für Personen ab 18 Jahren bestimmt. Wir haben Mechanismen implementiert, um die App vor Inhalten und Verhaltensweisen zu schützen, die Kinder gefährden könnten, und um Material von sexuellem Kindesmissbrauch (CSAM) sowie Anbahnung („Grooming") zu erkennen, zu entfernen und an die zuständigen Behörden zu melden.
1. Altersbeschränkung und Zugang
- Bei der Registrierung muss jeder Nutzer ausdrücklich bestätigen, mindestens 18 Jahre alt zu sein. Ohne diese Bestätigung wird die Kontoerstellung blockiert.
- Das optionale Altersfeld im Onboarding wird zusätzlich gegen Werte unter 18 geprüft.
- Anmeldungen über Apple oder Google sind mit derselben Alters-Bestätigung gekoppelt, bevor der Backend-Account angelegt wird.
2. Erkennung und Entfernung schädlicher Inhalte
- Alle hochgeladenen Medien werden serverseitig über Firebase Storage abgelegt und können durch unsere automatisierten Pipelines sowie durch unser Moderationsteam entfernt werden.
- Nutzergenerierte Texte (Posts, Kommentare, Chat-Nachrichten) und Profile können von anderen Nutzern und vom Moderationsteam gemeldet werden.
- Posts mit drei verifizierten Meldungen innerhalb von 24 Stunden werden automatisch ausgeblendet, bis sie durch einen Moderator geprüft wurden.
- Nutzerkonten mit drei verifizierten Meldungen werden für 30 Tage automatisch gesperrt; ab fünf Meldungen erfolgt eine dauerhafte Sperrung.
3. Meldewege in der App
Meldewege stehen in der App an mehreren Stellen zur Verfügung:
- Auf jedem Post über das Drei-Punkte-Menü („Post melden")
- Auf jedem Kommentar über das Drei-Punkte-Menü („Kommentar melden / Nutzer blockieren")
- In jedem Direct-Chat und auf jedem öffentlichen Profil über das Drei-Punkte-Menü („Nutzer melden / blockieren")
Nach jeder Meldung erhalten Nutzer einen Hinweis, dass Verstöße innerhalb von 24 Stunden geprüft und entfernt werden.
4. Meldung an Behörden
Bestätigtes CSAM-Material und Verdachtsfälle von Anbahnung gegenüber Minderjährigen melden wir an die zuständigen Behörden, insbesondere:
- Für Vorfälle mit US-Bezug: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org)
- Für Vorfälle mit Bezug zu Deutschland und der EU: Bundeskriminalamt (BKA) sowie das EU INHOPE-Netzwerk
Wir bewahren entsprechende Inhalte für die Dauer einer behördlichen Anfrage auf und kooperieren mit Strafverfolgungsbehörden im Rahmen geltender Gesetze.

Offline is a social app for shared real-world activities and is restricted to users aged 18 and over. We have implemented mechanisms to protect the app from content and behaviour that could endanger children, and to detect, remove and report Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) and grooming attempts to the relevant authorities.
1. Age restriction and access
- During registration, every user must explicitly confirm being at least 18 years old. Without this confirmation, account creation is blocked.
- The optional age field in onboarding is additionally validated against values below 18.
- Sign-in with Apple or Google is coupled with the same age confirmation before the backend account is provisioned.
2. Detection and removal of harmful content
- All uploaded media is stored server-side via Firebase Storage and can be removed by our automated pipelines and our moderation team.
- User-generated text (posts, comments, chat messages) and profiles can be reported by other users and the moderation team.
- Posts with three verified reports within 24 hours are automatically hidden until reviewed by a moderator.
- User accounts with three verified reports are auto-suspended for 30 days; five or more verified reports result in permanent suspension.
3. In-app reporting paths
Reporting paths are available throughout the app:
- On each post via the three-dot menu ("Report post")
- On each comment via the three-dot menu ("Report comment / Block user")
- In each direct chat and on every public profile via the three-dot menu ("Report / Block user")
After every report, users see a confirmation that violations are reviewed and removed within 24 hours.
4. Reporting to authorities
Confirmed CSAM and grooming suspicions involving minors are reported to the appropriate authorities, including:
- For incidents involving the United States: National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org)
- For incidents involving Germany and the EU: the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and the EU INHOPE network
We preserve relevant content for the duration of a law-enforcement request and cooperate with authorities to the extent required by applicable law.
